In Welcome to the Game II, you would be playing the role of an investigative reporter who is trying to resolve the case of a mysterious woman. The woman needs urgent help as she finds out that some masked men are set to kill her. The name of the reporter is Clint Edwards. He needs to solve the case within 10 PM to 4 AM. The player gets 3 hours to complete the objective because one minute of the game is equal to 30 seconds in a real scenario.
About The game
The game is a strategic game that takes the player into the universe of the deep web. The player plays the role of Clint Edwards who is an investigative journalist in a metropolitan area. The player wakes up from sleep after she/he hears the sound of their computer. A link has been sent to Clint Edwards (the player). There is a woman’s name in the stream. Her name is Amalea. She says something important about the shadow web and some masked men are searching for her badly. The stream ends instantly when she was trying to tell her location. This triggered the inquisitiveness of Clint, he decided to go deep, and search Amalea before everything finishes. Clint has an idea about the deep web and he knows anyone can poke back there. The task of the player is to locate Amalea, find a way to her, and save her. The player is given the task to find out 8 hashes that are hidden so that the shadow web is decrypted. This can be done with the usage of a simulated computer OS on a computer. The hidden hashes are diverse on the web pages. The hashes can be found by testing the page either by viewing the source of the page or by poking around in a secret file. When the player is searching the hidden hashes, they must hack their neighbour’s network so that they can escape from being tracked by the police. All these incidents happen in the apartment buildings of their city, where more incidents are going to take place. While doing these activities, they are being searched by the deep web.
Gameplay
The characters and the sequel story might be unrelated to the original game; it still has some mechanical essence like the original one. It is a first-person game and the player here plays the role of an investigating journalist Clint Edwards who is currently investigating the case of a disappeared woman, Amalea who sends a Livestream to Clint to explain her condition and she said that she is being chased by some unknown masked men. Clint has to locate Amalea and save her, but her only lead is on The Prey, the Shadow Web, and the Deep Web. Clint has merely a few hours to complete the mission. He has to start at 10 pm and he is supposed to finish it by 4 am. In the game, a minute consists of 30 of our life. Therefore, technically Clint has 3 hours to complete the mission. Clint’s goal is to dig the Deep Web from his home for eight hidden hashes that are supposed to be pricked together in a tunnel to the shadow web. To avoid getting caught by the cops for his forbidden activity, Clint has to hack his neighbour’s network and also have to keep an eye on his network to keep away the hackers. To help him with the software hacking there are some products that he can order like Remote VPN, WiFi Boosters. He can purchase these items from Shadow Market and zero-day market.
